Even though I stumbled upon this show/band accidentally, I'm going to go ahead and pat myself on the back for this find. When I was at Hangout Fest the weekend before, I passed a stage on my way to somewhere (the bathroom?) and heard some really good tunes. I didn't have time to stop so I looked up who was playing at the time and made a note to look them up later. After listening to a few tunes on Spotify I decided they were pretty legit and looked up their tour schedule. Low and behold they were going to be in Ft Worth the next weekend and playing a FREE show in Dallas before it! The concert gods were on my side.
The free show was at this place called Good Records. Double score because I'd a) been looking into buying some records and b)going to a "Live From the Turf" was on my Dallas bucket list.
Kopecky is great, but 10x better live. Maybe it didn't hurt there were maybe 15 people at the show so they were basically singing to my soul.
