To say I was super stoked when Karmin announced they'd be doing a second leg of their Pulses tour and Dallas was their first stop would be an understatement. Although many people probably don't know who Karmin is (shame shame shame), I have been impatiently waiting for their first full length album to come out since I heard that little ear worm Brokenhearted in 2012.
Word on the street was the show would have a No Doubt type energy level and that it did. Even if pop music isn't your thing, there's no doubt this was a fun show (see what I did there). I was really surprised by how much Nick was involved with the show. I kind of pictured him as the Ryan Lewis in Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (aka stand in the back and work the DJ table). But he was as much part of the show as Amy with background vocals and instruments.
I can't say I love every song on their new album but everything sounds better live (mostly) and it was a legit concert. Even just watching the clip below of Night Like This takes me back to hype-ness of the show.
