Gavin DeGraw - Make A Move Tour - House of Blues Dallas - 5.2.2014

Genre: Pop
Good If You Like: Ryan Cabrera, Howie Day, John Mayer
Songs To Listen To: We Belong Together, I Don't Want to Be, Not Over You

I have literally been waiting YEARS to see Gavin play. Ever since I heard "I Don't Want to Be" as the theme song to One Tree Hill (don't act like you don't know), I've been obsessed with his music. When "We Belong Together" came out on the soundtrack to Tristan & Isolde I was done. Locked in for life.

The man sings about love and relationships (heartbreak, running away, etc.) SO well. So it's fitting that a couple days before this concert I got broken up with (funny how the universe works). What better way to deal with heartbreak than Gavin DeGraw sing you through it? None (well besides tequila and/or wine).

Naturally he played his biggest hits, and the more solid songs from his last album "Make A Move." Usually I take a bathroom break during the least interesting song of an artist's set but not once did I leave my standing position. He was awesome and I'd waited YEARS to see him, a little bladder infection never killed anyone right?

I can't say my heart was healed by the end of this concert but a night with Gavin made everything a little better for an hour and a half.

Setlist: Make a Move, Heartbreak, Chariot, Run Every Time, Who's Gonna Save Us, Follow Through, We Belong Together, Best I Ever Had, She's Always a Woman, Soldier, Rumour Has It, Every Little Bit, More Than Anyone, Finest Hour, I Don't Want to Be, Leading Man, Not Over You
